Our very own Rick Smith will be taking to the stage at the Harbour Club’s upcoming live event for the last weekend of June.

Scheduled to take place at The Hilton Heathrow, Terminal 4 from Saturday 27th to Monday 29th, it promises to be a weekend full of actionable insights, developments in the M&A sphere, and networking possibilities.

The London-based venue will be home to scores of like-minded professionals looking to make connections and take a peek behind the curtains of the M&A deals completed by industry professionals.

As well as founding Forbes Burton and overseeing the M&A activity there, Rick has also acquired several businesses for himself over the years, and comes with a wealth of knowledge from both the sales and purchasing sides of M&A deals. His presentation will allow attendees to gain an understanding of the factors that influence successful deals in today’s market, while offering his perspective on the current state of the M&A landscape.

What else can you expect?

As well as guest speakers that not only ‘talk the talk’, but have ‘walked the walk’, attendees will be able to connect with fellow like-minded entrepreneurs. With so many M&A professionals, investors and business leaders under one roof, the event also doubles up as an unparalleled networking experience.

“Tonnes of useful content”

“I’m thrilled to be asked to speak for The Harbour Club again.” said Rick. “This event promises to be a fantastic few days of discussion, insights and collaboration among the M&A community.

“There should be a great mix there of seasoned acquisition specialists and those just looking to get started on their journey, meaning that wherever you sit experience-wise, there’s bound to be tonnes of useful content for you.

“Even now, as someone who’s been in the trenches and come away with hard-fought M&A lessons over the years, I still find huge value in attending these events and garnering new information from fellow attendees.”

The sharing of knowledge in the M&A community

Historically closed off from most, the world of M&As previously seemed to be something conducted behind closed doors, but events like these allow professionals to share their knowledge to make the world of acquisitions far more accessible to all.

Businesses are increasingly turning to strategic partnerships, acquisitions and other expansion opportunities in an attempt to gain an edge over competitors, so being able to gather real industry knowledge has become crucial in obtaining that advantage.

If you’re in London around the 27th-29th June, you’ll find few better investments than investing a few days of your time to attend the event. We hope to see you there!
