My favorite living room accessory, the Frame TV, a picture frame tv that looks and hangs like art. The Samsung art tv is a stunning way to incorporate a television into your room and disguise it as art. I’m sharing everything I learned and what I really think of this TV after 8 years!

TV’s create a black hole in a room, drawing the eye, but for all the wrong reasons. Several years ago, I got the first Samsung Frame TV and I have been obsessed since, adding one in our Primary Bedroom and even our Laundry Room!

They’re incredibly easy to install and use! It hangs flush to the wall with adjustable lighting so that it truly looks like art. We change the art on our tv seasonally and for special occasions, including birthdays!

When we purchased our current home, we struggled to decide which of the two rooms would be the family room that we’d gather to watch tv. One was smaller, just off the entryway with bookcases, a fireplace and was adjacent to the kitchen.

The other was a larger, more removed space that lacked character, but would have been easier to hide that big black box thing – aka the tv. We ultimately decided to sacrifice design for convenience and family togetherness, placing the big black screen over the fireplace off the entryway.

We loved it – when it was on. The kids could decompress after school while I made dinner, but when we weren’t using it, it felt like it overpowered the entire room. The tv was the first thing you’d see when you entered our home, which didn’t feel inviting. Now, it’s the focal point!

I have to do a double take each time I pass by because you’d never guess it was a tv if you didn’t know! For years guests would stare at it, ask for details and subsequently purchase one for their home The Frame is so minimal and with the No Gap Wall-mount, it mounts flush against the wall, just like art.

The Frame TV makes each room feel fresh. I love that I can transition our art with the seasons. Unlike art, it’s easily inexpensive to update often. One of my favorite “moments” was when I used the photograph of my mom and uncle on their Christmas card from the 50’s. I change them regularly in just seconds!

Frame TV Generations

The first Frame TV was made in 2017. We purchased ours in December 2017 and unfortunately started to notice a bright spot in 2023. Without hesitation, we replace it with another Frame TV. Several improvements have been made in the generations that followed. Our TV’s purchased in 2018 and 2020 are still going strong without any issues.

Most generations are still available with variations in technology and prices. I noted the years and the letters to look for below for reference to decipher between generations.
