Globe Business, AAP join forces to turn AI ambition into real-world impact for Philippine enterprises

Despite growing interest in artificial intelligence, many organizations are still struggling to scale. Global data from IBM shows that only around 42 percent of enterprises have actively deployed AI, with many still in pilot stages. In Southeast Asia, studies by Microsoft and International Data Corporation indicate that although more than 70 percent of organizations are exploring AI, only a small number have achieved enterprise-wide integration due to gaps in talent, data readiness, and governance.

In the Philippines, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has pointed to infrastructure, skills development, and stronger public-private collaboration as key to unlocking AI’s projected ₱2.8 trillion contribution to the economy by 2030. Without progress in these areas, many organizations may find it difficult to turn early AI efforts into real, lasting impact for stakeholders.

Responding to this gap, Globe Business has formalized a two-year strategic partnership with the Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines (AAP), a leading industry body advancing AI and data innovation in the country, to help organizations move beyond experimentation and bring artificial intelligence into real, everyday use. By combining AAP’s ecosystem development, capability-building, and policy advocacy with Globe Business’s strengths in digital infrastructure, cloud, and connectivity, the collaboration aims to accelerate scalable and responsible AI adoption across the country.

“AI holds real promise for Philippine enterprises, but the challenge has always been turning that promise into outcomes that matter,” said KD Dizon, Vice President and Head of Globe Business. “Our partnership with AAP deepens our ongoing commitment to empowering Philippine enterprises to achieve intelligent transformation, turning AI potential into tangible, measurable business outcomes while driving innovation and sustainable digital growth.”

Under the agreement, Globe Business and AAP will work together on initiatives that bring AI closer to practical use. This includes joint thought leadership opportunities, capability-building programs, and ecosystem development efforts that connect enterprises with the tools, expertise, and frameworks needed to operationalize AI in ways that are secure, ethical, and aligned with evolving governance standards.

For AAP, the collaboration strengthens its mission to build a more robust and inclusive AI ecosystem in the Philippines.

“This partnership allows us to bring together industry, technology, and talent in a more meaningful way,” said Michelle Alarcon, President of AAP. “By working closely with Globe Business, we can help ensure that AI adoption in the Philippines is not only faster, but also more responsible and sustainable.”

The initiative targets a broad range of stakeholders, including enterprise leaders and government agencies, as well as startups, developers, and academic institutions. By bringing these groups into a shared ecosystem, the partnership aims to create a more coordinated path toward AI maturity in the country.

As organizations continue to navigate an increasingly digital and data-driven landscape, the collaboration underscores a clear message: progress will depend on how effectively organizations can apply AI at scale.
