Dive into the green paint color of your dreams! I have extensively tested and used various shades of green, but Sherwin Williams Valleyview is cheerful, yet serene and looks beautiful in an array of sheens! It’s perfect for furniture, cabinetry, kitchens, baths and even bedrooms!

Sherwin Williams Valleyview also known as SW9673. This green is often overlooked in favor of sage green paint colors and colors that take on a greige tone. It’s bright, bold and beautiful. The color exudes joy!

It is no surprise that Valleyview is in Sherwin Williams Designer Color Collection, Classic + Collected, because it this surprise pop of color is easy to work with, looks elegant and elevated.

Valleyview LRV

Valleyview has a mid-tone LRV or Light Reflective Value 58. It reflects a little over half of light making it feel balanced, open, yet not washed out. It’s perfect for interior application. I recommend using semi-gloss or gloss, especially in small spaces, to reflect light. Learn more about paint sheens here.

Undertones

Sherwin Williams Valleyview is the perfect balance undertones. It is classified as a cool green paint color, with a hint of blue undertones, yet feels warm, without feeling yellow.

You can see in the photograph below how the reads with indirect Southern light. It has a hint of warmth and reduces the saturation.

Colors that Coordinate with Valleyview

I think you should have fun with it! Pair it with cool blues with a bright tone like Aviary Blue, Vast Sky, Atmospheric, Resolute Blue or Benjamin Moore Slate Blue or stay neutral with whites including Sherwin Williams Extra White or Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace.

Trim Colors to Pair with Valleyview

I recommend using tone on tone, Painting Walls and Trim the Same Color, using eggshell or semi-gloss for walls and painting trim in a higher sheen (semi-gloss for eggshell walls and gloss for semi-gloss walls).

Alternatively, a crisp white like Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace or Sherwin Williams Extra White pair well. For our closets, I used gloss throughout and Extra White for our bathroom trim. It’s also a suitable color for ceiling paint.

Where to Use Valleyview

Valleyview makes an impact, so use it anywhere you want to make a dramatic statement. A piece of furniture, laundry room cabinetry, dressing room, walk in closet, closet cabinetry or a door. Think designer.
