The first 3D printed community in Houston, TX has broken ground with expected completion in fall 2026. The 80-home Southeast Houston community, blending 3D printing with panelized construction, is sustainable, durable, and affordable.
Houston-based automated 3D printed construction company HiveASMBLD and Cole Klein Builders have created the world’s first large-scale, one-of-a-kind affordable housing development using 3D printing technology—called Zuri Gardens.

Cole Klein Builders is a purpose-driven residential construction and land development firm based in Houston, Texas. Affordability Meets Efficiency
In conjunction with the City of Houston, the highly-anticipated development will serve households earning up to 120% of the Area Median Income through the city’s Affordable Home Development Program (AHDP). The homes also qualify for up to $125,000 in the city of Houston’s down payment assistance, subsidizing costs for future homeowners.
Spanning 13 acres, Zuri Gardens will feature energy-efficient, high-quality, sustainable homes with long-term value. Sizes average around 1,360 sq. ft. and pricing starts in the mid to high $200,000s. HiveASMBLD will print two unique home designs, each with two-bedroom and two and a half bathroom configurations, along with an office/flex space and a covered patio.
